Information We Collect

NDJSON.com is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect minimal data to improve your experience:

  • Analytics Data: We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with our site. This includes anonymized data about page views, clicks, and scroll behavior.
  • Local Storage: We store your theme preference (dark/light mode) and other UI preferences locally in your browser.
  • Validator Input: The JSONL validator runs entirely in your browser. Data you paste or upload is never transmitted to us or to any third party. It is saved to your browser's local storage so your work survives a page reload, which means it is written to disk on your own device until you clear it using the validator's clear button or your browser's site-data controls.
  • No Personal Data: We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily contact us.

Cookies and Tracking

We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity for analytics purposes. These services may use cookies to:

  • Understand user behavior and improve site usability
  • Measure traffic sources and aggregate page popularity
  • Record session replays (anonymized) to identify UX issues
  • Generate heatmaps showing popular content areas

You can opt out of both by using browser privacy settings or extensions that block analytics scripts. Google also publishes a browser add-on that disables Google Analytics measurement.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Your Rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations, you have the right to:

  • Access information we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Opt out of analytics tracking
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • HTTPS encryption for all connections
  • Content Security Policy (CSP) headers
  • Regular security audits and updates
  • No storage of sensitive personal data
